Why you shouldn't work at Visuality

Michał Piórkowski
Founder

Visuality, as you may already know, is a development house with more than 5 years of experience. We love Ruby on Rails, agile methodologies and some good UX design. But who doesn't? We are growing fast (we doubled all the numbers - employees and revenue - in less than a year) and we constantly look for talented employees. But that is not news to anybody.

So why should (or shouldn't) you consider working in our company, when there are so many others with so similar history? I think the answer is parallel to the answer you should be asking yourself constantly "why am I a programmer/designer/project manager".

We started Visuality as a way of making money. But that was over 7 years ago and a lot has changed. We quickly realized that it is not all about the money after all. We want to learn. We feel that IT is one of the best places to broaden your horizons and acquire new skills. Every one of the co-founders is still doing the job our employees do - be it design, coding or project management. And we still love it. We also want our people to love it. We strive for the excitement that appears in our teams when we take on a new project. We love the energy that appears during our hackathons - when all of us have a chance to work on amazing projects of our own. In one short sentence - Visuality is a team that can do amazing things - and not just because we are getting paid for this.

During our long way we found out that the essence of our company are relationships. We maintain a very good atmosphere treating all of the members as a second family. I myself have an adorable son and a lovely wife - and every day at work I am impatient to go home. But when I am at home I am thinking about getting back to work, to the people. I feel like having two families, and it is one of the best feelings ever.

So when you are considering working here, at Visuality, think about what you want to achieve. If you just want to work and leave the office forgetting about everything - that's fine, but not here. But if you feel, that by doing your job you can achieve something more than money - please, drop us a line because together we can do some amazing things.
